Kids Dress up Apron By Audrey
I created this apron in a rush for my youngest little girl who was getting ready to go to a “Alice in Wonderland” themed dress up party. We already had a darling blue dress that was from Christmas time so I decided to just crochet a apron really quick. I’ve had a lot of requests for the apron and so I thought what a great pattern to share, since it works up super quick. Also is a easy one to write out and I’m pretty sure any of us are able to make it.
FDC- Foundation Double Crochet
DC- Double Crochet
TRC- Treble Crochet
Red Heart Super Saver- 1 Skein
Very small amount for applique if desired
May substitute any 4 weight yarn this is a super inexpensive USA yarn. Hook Size: 5.5mm (I)
The pattern is worked starting at the top of apron front, doing rows from side to side than going down to the apron skirt. If you need to adjust sizing for width and length than you would do so with the
starting foundation chain. The straps are listed at the bottom of the pattern. They’re made the same way just less in length.
All rows end with ch1, turn. You can also switch this to your desired method.
Row1: FDC 20

Attach yarn to the bottom of the apron front. Use the 2 bottom DC rows and make 2DC in each stitch, ch1, turn. Continue to do this until your strap is to desired length. (4DC)
Repeat on the other side. Arm Straps:
Attach yarn on the top of the apron front again due 2DC in each stitch, ch1, turn. Continue to desired length and sc into the waist straps to connect.
Make applique of your choice. Sew on to your desired area.
